Job Description :
We are on the hunt for talented electrical engineers or technologists with sales skills for opportunities based in Richmond, BC.


Our client is a leader in the industrial automation space, offering manufacturing, installation, commissioning, integration and maintenance services. They are seeking candidates with relevant technical backgrounds to help build out their business here in the Lower Mainland. Typically, electrical engineers or technologists are most successful in the role, as Sales Specialists deal directly with engineers, plant managers, end users, etc., and must be able to communicate electrical and automation concepts fluently.


Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of relevant work experience as a technologist/engineer, ideally working in industrial automation or similar.  A high degree of familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, etc. is critical, along with strong business development, relationship management, and sales-related skills.


The industrial space can be intense, so there is a preference for confident, assertive candidates who are comfortable communicating with strong personalities.


This is a full time, permanent opportunity with significant growth potential for motivated sales people. While this is a local position for now, there are plenty of chances to travel throughout Canada and the US for top performers, as well as potential to expand the sales territory.


Successful individuals can expect to make well into the $100,000's, with a highly competitive base salary coupled with uncapped commission, excellent benefits, and more.

Required Qualifications :
Electrical engineering or technologist education (degree, diploma, etc.)

5+ years' work experience as an engineer or technologist, ideally within the industrial automation space

Sales/Business Development skills & experience

Strong communication skills
