Shop Heavy Duty Mechanic (Construction Equipment)

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior level heavy duty mechanic interested in a shop based position in South Florida.

In this role, you will be employed by a successful construction company.  You will be responsible for keeping a fleet of machines running safely and efficiently.  The machines are 70% CAT, there is some other Bomag and John Deere brand machinery.  You will work in a shop setting making sure construction equipment is serviced, maintained, and repaired.  You will be a good troubleshooter, and have working knowledge of CAT SIS and ET diagnostic software.

The successful candidate will be a person with a strong work ethic who loves early morning starts, 5:30am-6am.  You will take on as much paid overtime as you would like, you must be able to manage your time effectively.  The manager is a great mentor with extensive experience in the trade.  You will be eligible to grow, develop, and advance within this outstanding company.  We would prefer 5 plus years of mechanic experience plus a post high school education in diesel technology or related field.  You must have the right attitude, willingness to work, and desire and commitment to being great.

-5 plus years of mechanic experience (heavy construction machinery)

-Working knowledge of CAT SIS and ET

-CAT dealership or construction equipment company work experience an asset

-Must be legally entitled to work for any employer in United States

-Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English

Schedule is Mon-Fri with 5:30am starts, overtime available.  Strong hourly wage, medical plan.
