Job Description :
We are looking for a Service Manager with a track record making improvements in the areas of technician efficiency and lost labour. The candidate should be familiar with WIP (work in process), experienced setting up policies and procedures, capable ensuring the billing process is efficient, and have a history of maximizing profitability in a service department. The candidate should come from a fleet or dealership business model. Ideally, they will have a background with heavy machinery. The position involves management responsibility over a small team of admin staff and technician supervisors. Its important that the incoming candidate has a personality that can gain respect from long-term staff, and can be a strong leader while still being approachable, calm, and adaptable to working with different types of people.
Required Qualifications :
-Prior success as a Service Manager in a fleet or dealership based business model.
-Heavy machinery background an asset.
-Experienced in operations based Service Management role.
-Strong abilities in the area of technician efficiency, service department profitability, effective best practices for a service department.
-Strong financial management and computer skills.
-Strong leader able to effectively work with mechanics, admin staff, supervisors, and customers.
-Legally entitled to work for any employed in Canada.
