Senior Manual Shop Machinist

Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced  Senior Manual Shop Machinist to join our team at our facility in the York, Ontario region. 


You will thrive in a fast paced shop environment working alongside a small team of other machinists completing customer orders, repairs and or part replacements.




You must be familiar with a variety of equipment, tools and machines, read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings (this may include sketches or print information) and ensure parts are being made to specifications. You’ll be responsible for calculating dimensions and tolerances and machining parts using machine tools including manual mills/lathes, drill press, sanders and grinders to name a few. You will be safety focused and keep a clean and tidy work space. 




The schedule is Monday through Friday/day shift with overtime available if you want it (as they are a busy shop and have a lot of work to complete).




Compensation is $45-$50 per hour based on experience and credentials plus benefits and bonus potential. 407 tolls are covered (if needed) and on site parking is also provided for your convenience.

Required Qualifications :
-Experienced Manual Machinist 

-Minimum 5 years of experience working as a manual machinist preferred


-Thrive in a fast-paced small machine shop environment


-Experience working in a manufacturing environment 


-Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings


-Must be able to use measuring tools and do some mathematical calculations


-Experience with Milltronics machines an asset 


-Some CNC experience an asset 


-Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)


-High attention to detail (with a focus on accuracy and safety)


-Must be legally authorized to work in Canada for any employer
