Red Seal/Journeyman Mill Welder Drive In/Drive Out ($46.86 Per Hour)
Our client is a highly reputable operational mining company and is currently seeking a Red Seal/Journeyman certified welder to work on-site at our processing plants in Wawa, Ontario.
This opportunity is a 7 on/7 off, Drive in-Drive Out position that offers a competitive salary, extended health benefits, long-term disability, and RRSP plus 5% match. You’ll also have extensive training and continued learning and development opportunities.
Camp accommodations and home-made meals will be provided while on your rotations.
You will also be eligible for a Travel tax exemption credit.
Shifts are 12 hours/day shifts and $46.86 per hour plus overtime
What you’ll be doing:
-Maintenance of milling operation equipment
-Analyze, diagnose and troubleshoot day to day equipment issues
-Performing repairs and preventative maintenance and cost effective planning
-Following maintenance directives from Lead hand
-Assist in commissioning of new equipment and installations
-Perform assemblies and fabricating new designs
-Safely operate specific equipment including man lifts, forklifts and overhead cranes, etc
-Help with continuous improvement and make recommendations for improvements
-Safety and environment is top priority and all issues are reported accordingly
-Journeyman or Red Seal Welder trade certification
-2 plus years experience in an industrial and or mining environment
-Ability to interpret blueprints is an asset
-Comfortable working at heights
-Must be physically capable and able to lift up to 50lbs
-Ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision
