Production Supervisor - Continental Night Shifts

Job Description :

We are looking for a Production Supervisor to join a well established and fast-paced packaging/manufacturing company on-site in Brantford, Ontario




The successful candidate will be joining our leadership team and be responsible for leading, training and facilitating the team on the production side including adherence to safety, quality control and important KPI’s 




Shifts will be 12 hour Continental Night shifts (7PM - 7AM) 


Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday


Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday


*New hires rotate between days & nights during training*

What you’ll be doing:


-Leading the production team and effectively promote a positive work environment and to help foster employee engagement and participation


-Actively take an interest and promote safety programs and policies for the best   interest of the employees and company


-Create daily work schedules and direct employees to efficiently achieve KPI’s within the production facility 


-Coach, manage and train employees by effectively communicating job and  workplace expectations, achieving and evaluating KPI’s and delivering disciplinary guidance when deemed necessary and appropriate.


-Liaise and coordinate with fellow colleagues and other departments to minimize downtimes and to maximize productivity 


-Provide technical support to the team 




Required Qualifications :

-Must be able to work 12 hour continental night shifts


-Ability to work in a high stress, fast paced environment


-Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing environment 


-Communication skills to deal with union environment


-Post secondary degree or education in Maintenance or Technology


-Highly motivated and results oriented 


-Legally entitled to work in Canada
