We are looking for a Plant Operator to join a busy, construction materials company in the Greater Toronto Area.

Hours can vary, so flexibility is a MUST. Shifts are generally 12 hours, with some days and some nights and availability to work between Monday and Saturdays are required. There is a lot of opportunity for overtime, especially during peak season.
You’ll be working with a small team of about 3-4 people during every shift and teamwork and communication will play a key part in your success and the success of the plant operations. You’ll be the gatekeeper for everything that goes on within the plant and working in collaboration with and directing the team accordingly.
What you’ll be doing:
-The ins and outs of being a plant operator
-Ensuring plant progress
-Dealing with internal and external clients and customers
-Reviewing projects and contracts
-Diagnosing equipment issues
-Troubleshooting in and around the plant
-Maintenance and upkeep of plant equipment and operating systems
-Traffic control in the yard
-Weekly maintenance checklist
-Confined Space Training (Company will supply)
-Working at Heights Training (Company will supply)
-Valid G Class driver’s license and clean driving record
-Must be available to work a variety of shifts including days and nights and weekends
-Must be able to withstand moving around a lot and being outside during all weather conditions
-Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
-Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
-Legally entitled to work in Canada
