Parts Counter Person
Our client is an established heavy equipment company looking to add an experienced parts counter person to their team. The incoming candidate will spend time on the phone and over the counter with customers to identify the right parts solutions for the customer's needs. Candidates will be measured on their interpersonal skills, telephone manner, and ability to understand how a successful parts department works in terms of organization. You must have a firm knowledge of heavy equipment, commercial truck, or automotive parts, and be a person who is trustworthy and capable of developing and growing relationships between the company and the customers.
Inventory stock management.
Order parts for service department.
Answer to customer's request at counter or via phone, fax or email.
Perform periodic inventory & do corrections on internal system when needed.
Look for supplying alternatives (new and used parts).
Follow up on back order with vendors .
Perform claims for parts on warranty.
Computer network management (updates, troubleshooting).
Other related tasks.

-Minimum of 2-3 years parts tech, parts person, parts manager experience within a heavy equipment, commercial truck, or automotive parts product environment.
-Energetic well spoken person with a professional and engaging telephone manner.
-Strong understanding of parts department operations and principles including warranty and inventory.
-Reliable long-term employee who gets along with people and brings a good attitude to work everyday.
