Motor Generator Service Shop Supervisor

Job Description :

We are seeking a leader who can effectively manage a trades shop. 


The successful candidate will have a service based customer focused mentality.


They will be technically sound and highly knowledgeable in repairing, maintaining, assembling, servicing large motors and generators. 


The hired candidate will be a credible foreman with a strong understanding of large rotating machines.


The role involves providing day to day supervising and directing of activities for a trades group of 15-20 people on the floor within the electrician, millwright, and machinist trades.


It is important that the successful hire is dedicated to their work and fits in well with a management team who all treat their job a similar way.


This is a tremendous opportunity for growth.  Will succession planning, the successful hire in this role can evolve over the coming years into a more senior leadership role if they are capable of more.


It’s a Mon-Fri role, day shift.  Company offers a strong hourly wage with overtime paid.  There will also be a comprehensive benefits plan offered.

Required Qualifications :

-Extensive hands on experience with large motors, generators, and rotating machines


-Strong supervision/foreman/leadership background


-Excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude


-Highly organized and able to ensure proper allocation of work in the shop


-Respect and commitment to health and safety in the work place


-Red seal commercial/industrial electrician, millwright, or machinist an asset


-Legally entitled work for any employer in Canada
