Mill Maintenance General Foreman Drive In/Drive Out
Our client is a highly reputable operational mining company and is currently seeking a Red Seal certified millwright or similar trade ticketed individual to work on-site at our processing plants in Wawa, Ontario as a General Foreman. The ideal candidate will have previous maintenance supervisory experience and proven experience building and leading effective teams in a positive workplace environment.
This opportunity is a 7 on/7 off, Drive in-Drive Out position that offers a competitive salary, extended health benefits, long-term disability, and RRSP plus 5% match. You’ll also have extensive training and continued learning and development opportunities.
Camp accommodations and home-made meals will be provided while on your rotations.
You will also be eligible for a Travel tax exemption credit.
Shifts are 12 hours/day shifts and salary range is $120-$130K
What you’ll be doing:
-Keep Superintendent and Foreman's updated on maintenance priorities and issues
-Overseeing operations and utilizing all resources efficiently and effectively
-Ordering equipment and consumables as necessary
-Assist in troubleshooting of production issues
-Supervising and directing workers and providing training and coaching as needed
-Lead a mixed team of trades including electrical, mechanical, welding, etc
-Manage preventative maintenance schedules and planned shutdowns
-Ensure plant equipment and maintenance is executed accordingly
-Scheduling and planning work and distributing tasks to the team
-Oversee work progress development and performance of team members and employees
-Provide guidance to mining and processing teams about correct operation of equipment
-Communicate with senior management and other supervisors
-Leading by example and ensuring optimal safety compliance and environment
-Red Seal trade certificate (millwright or similar)
-5 plus years experience or post secondary education in a related field an asset
-Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor or similar position
-Previous experience supervising, directing and evaluating employees
-Experience with strategic planning and developing budgets
-Electronics troubleshooting an asset
