Job Description :

We are seeking a licensed Industrial Electrician who has a great attitude, has a strong commitment to safety, and gets along well in a team atmosphere working with other people. This company offers stable employment, competitive wages and benefits. This opportunity is best suited to someone familiar with a heavy industrial environment (forest products/ sawmill ideal).

Duties include:

Test electrical systems and circuits in electrical wiring, equipment or fixtures

Inspect electrical systems, equipment or components to identify hazards, defects or repair

Troubleshoot, program and upgrade Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)

Identify and troubleshoot objects using electrical control schematics

Work with vendors to identify needed parts and recommend to Supervisor

Understand and update instrumentation loop diagrams, E & I drawings, blueprints and schematics

Program AC & DC variable speed drivers

Update power distribution system, MCC and switch gears

Install electrical equipment consisting of variable frequency drives, diagnose hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Maintain and troubleshoot various optimizations systems

-Red Seal Industrial Electrician

-Good communication skills

-Work experience in heavy industrial manufacturing or production based environment

-Ability to do both emergency and preventative maintenance

-Legally entitled to work for any employer in Canada

-Physically fit

-Available for steady full-time weekday graveyard/night shift
