Job Description :
Our client in the Lower Mainland is looking for a GMAW Fabricator to come join their small but mighty team and work on site at their shop.


You will be reporting to the Production Manager and be accountable for 


overseeing and working on various fabrication/welding projects. You will be working alongside other fabricators/welders and be able to help and guide them in the production process.




The key to success in this shop is being willing to learn, collaborate, help assist and mentor others and be skilled in fabrication and GMAW (MIG) welding. You will be building, assembling, measuring, cutting and doing layouts and being very mindful of quality checks along the way. You will lead by example and bring high quality work to the table. 


You will also be assisting with sourcing and material handling, implementing production flow initiatives and providing any necessary support to the other departments involved in the projects.




This is a dry, clean shop environment.  You will be working general welding shop hours. Monday to Friday, 7am-3:30pm. There is an opportunity for overtime available.




Compensation is up to $38 per hour based on experience and credentials.  There is a good benefits package and growth opportunities within the company, especially for those who can help with production growth in the shop.

Required Qualifications :

-Minimum 3-5 years experience working in fabrication/welding 


-GMAW (MIG) welding 


-Familiar and have experience working with thin gauge steel 


-Read and understand blueprints and shop drawings


-Experience fabricating doors and frames an asset 


-Previous leadership experience and ability to coach and mentor


-Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)


-Good computer skills 


-High attention to detail and focused on precision


-Safety focused 


-Focused on quality control and quality checks


-Solution focused and good at problem solving


-Must be legally authorized to work in Canada for any employer
