Industrial Electrician

Job Description :

Our client is a key player in the manufacturing industry.  They are seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician or Controls Electrician to join the fast paced and growing company. 




The ideal candidate will come from a clean food production environment background and have experience working in a highly automated facility. 




MUST be flexible with your schedule and able to work rotating shifts (Morning and Afternoons rotating bi-weekly)




Wage is $40/hr and unionized. There is an extra $1/hour premium for the afternoon shifts. 




What you’ll be doing:


-Plan and execute complex corrective and preventive maintenance utilizing thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles. 


-Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment


-Responsible for programmable controls, numerical controls, power supplies, drives, gauges and test equipment as well as specialized test systems and methods


-Master the basics of the systems utilized at the facility and identify gaps for formal improvement plans to be put into action


-Work with all groups and levels within the equipment maintenance team


-Adhere to all safety protocol and procedures, GMP’s and wear the required PPE while in the warehouse or production facilities




Required Qualifications :

-Journeyman Electrician and or Controls Electrician with 5 plus years of electro-mechanical experience


-Experience working in a fast paced production environment


-Electrical FSR B Certification an asset 


-Allen Bradley Rockwell Training and Certification an asset
